Meet the team

Teresa Sulok, Executive Director
Teresa comes to Heartis Village North Shore with 10 years of administrator/executive director experience in the senior living field.
Motivated by the joy she could bring to residents, Teresa began her career in 2005 as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She felt fulfilled as she helped and advocated for the residents and earned their trust. Her dedication and her commitment to excellence allowed her to grow into management positions within senior living communities. Teresa is also a subject matter expert in Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) regulations that provide oversight for our state’s Assisted Living communities. She holds an Assisted Living administrator certification and is a certified CBRF training instructor for the state of Wisconsin.
When not at Heartis, Teresa enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and fur children Jasper, Toby and Chloe. She also enjoys crafting and getting outdoors to soak up sunshine.

Angie Mehring, Director of Sales & Marketing
Angie comes to Heartis North Shore with more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality and relocation industries. She spent a decade in sales at Marriott Hotels and was a Corporate Sales Manager at The Pfister Hotel for five years. Most recently, Angie worked at her family’s moving business, where she was inspired to shift her focus to helping guide seniors through the relocation process. In addition to helping residents live vibrant lives, Angie enjoys quality time with her family and friends, spending time outdoors, cooking and reading.

Sherrie Szombathelyi, Director of Sales & Marketing
Sherrie Szombathelyi is the director of Sales and Marketing, and she comes to Heartis North Shore with extensive senior living experience. Having studied sociology/psychology and gerontology at UWM–Milwaukee, Sherrie has held a plethora of positions in senior living and in particular memory care. Her positions have included caregiver, activity director, memory care executive director and educator, and social service coordinator.
Sherrie moved from an executive director role to a role assisting residents and families transitioning to a supportive care setting after her own mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. She spends much of her professional and personal time facilitating caregiver support groups and has held task force positions with the Alzheimer’s Association.
In her spare time, Sherrie is an accomplished artist, and has written and illustrated a children’s book about her mom’s journey through Alzheimer’s. Sherrie is married and has four pets: her dog Stella and three cats.

Daniel Luna, Culinary Service Director
Chef Daniel ensures that our residents enjoy healthy cuisine at every meal. Daniel joined Heartis in 2018 and was promoted to executive chef in 2021. He has studied extensively with fine chefs in Chicago, and he attributes his skill and love of French, Italian and Spanish cuisines to this training. Daniel’s hometown of Puebla, Mexico, is also represented in one of his favorite dishes to make, chicken mole. When Daniel is not in the kitchen at Heartis North Shore, he may be delighting our residents by playing our baby grand piano. He also plays piano at his church and enjoys time with his wife and two children.

Kristin Wenzel, Business Office Director
Kristin joins the Heartis North Shore team with experience as an accountant and payroll specialist in home health care, along with nearly a decade of corporate tax accounting experience.
