Allison Marlow, Marketing Director
Allison Marlow is the Marketing Director at Heartis Village Peoria. Allison grew up in Saint Joseph, Michigan, and holds a master’s degree in Education from Michigan State University. Allison has always had a passion for helping others, and prior to moving to Illinois, she worked as an elementary school teacher before transitioning into healthcare and hospice. Allison shifted to senior living work in 2014 and is excited to serve the residents and families in the community.
In her free time, Allison travels back to her hometown and takes frequent visits to the beach. She is committed to fitness, the Detroit Tigers, and her adventurous son, Joshua.
Lynette Woelfle Steger, Lifestyle Director
We are very excited to introduce you to Lynette Woelfle Steger, our Lifestyle Director. Her role at Heartis Village is essential to helping our residents live inspired. Every day.
As our Lifestyle Director, Lynette develops, implements, and oversees unique programming based upon the skills of our residents. Many of these unique programs are resident-led, created so residents may share their talents, expertise, and experience with their peers. One thing is for sure: The programming at Heartis Village engages, delights, and fulfills our residents every day.
Lynette brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to this role. Most recently, she served as the Managing Editor of 50 Plus News & Views magazine. She was the first Peoria-area representative to the State of Illinois AARP Executive Council. In this position, she was responsible for promoting positive social change to enhance quality of life for all as we age and delivering value to our community through information, partnerships, and service.
Lynette has been an AARP Life Reimagined Coach, served on the Peoria County TRIAD Board, and worked for Peoria Bickford Senior Living as Community Relations Director. She is a licensed Illinois Secretary Education history teacher, with endorsements in political science, sociology, and anthropology. An active community advocate, Lynette is on the Arts Partners of Central Illinois Board of Directors and is the Chair of Peoria Sculpture Walk. Lynette holds bachelor’s degrees from Bradley University in History, Political Science, and Secondary Education. A lifelong learner, she is completing her Master of Arts in Leadership through Bradley’s Graduate School. Lynette resides in Pekin, Illinois, with her husband, two sons, and rescue dog.
Shannon Kimler, Memory Support Manager
With a passion for helping others, especially those faced with memory challenges, Shannon is the face of Heartis Village’s Memory Support neighborhood. She’s worked with people of all ages, from being a preschool teacher to working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a hospital setting.
Shannon is a strong believer in reinstating independence and purpose in the lives of seniors and making sure they’re pursuing happy and purpose-filled lives. Shannon graduated from Midwest Technical Institute in 2014 and from Illinois Central College in 2017 from the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. Shannon is certified in Crisis Prevention Intervention, Adult and Adolescent Mental Health First Aid, and is also a Certified Medical Assistant.
In her free time, Shannon is a mother to her teenage daughters, Payton and Emma; runs her online store; pursues various DIY projects; and she founded the “One Families Love” annual donation project.
Chad McCoy, Executive Chef
Chad began his cooking career at a young age with his grandmother in a small village of Oak Hill. In 2000, Chad enrolled at New England Culinary School in Vermont and graduated after two years with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts. Chad has worked in various luxury culinary environments, including the Four Seasons Resort in Vail, Colorado, and served as the Sous Chef at Roosevelt Lodge.
A passionate chef, Chad enjoys smoking all sorts of foods and is always eager to experiment with new recipes and cater to the tastes of his clientele. In his free time, Chad enjoys hiking, kayaking, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family.
