Caring for the community
Our team is comprised of highly qualified and experienced individuals who are passionate about providing supportive care in an inspiring environment. They take the time to connect with community members and their families because the better they know the residents, the better equipped they are to monitor and positively affect their health, well being, and safety. From living options and health services to events and dining, if you have questions, they have answers.
Lisa M. Pflaumer, Executive Director – PCHA, ALRA, MPA
With more than 25 years of executive experience in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors, Lisa has always focused on service to others. Her passion for helping seniors and their families stems from a close relationship with her grandparents, who raised her from birth. Lisa brings that dedication to work every day, cultivating an environment where the collective experiences and talents of the residents, families, team members, and community partners make them stronger together. Outside of caring for the community, Lisa enjoys starting her day with a run through her Langhorne neighborhood, as well as spending time and traveling the world with her husband Jack, their son Andrew, and their three rescue dogs – Domino, Bonnie, and Clyde.

Patrice Y. Martin, Director of Sales & Marketing
Patrice draws upon her extensive background in sales and marketing when connecting with future residents, families, and community partners. Having specialized in senior living for the past six years, she is guided by her passion to serve others. Patrice learns the life stories of residents so she can contribute to supporting their needs and interests. Her experience in residential, independent, and assisted living communities enhances her dedication to finding the perfect home to complement and enrich the lifestyle of residents. A native of Bucks County, Patrice returned home after several years of traveling to be near her family, raise her two children, and serve the community she loves. She starts her day with meditation, prayer, and coffee, and also enjoys gardening, riding her bike, and traveling.

Matthew Nguyen – Director of Sales & Marketing
With 10 years of healthcare and senior living experience, Matthew finds it truly rewarding to witness the organic relationships being built with each resident as they, in turn, influence the growth of a tight-knit community. As a result of his resident-centered approach, Matthew thoughtfully connects with prospective residents and their families, values their needs, and offers solutions responsive to those needs. These experiences, coupled with his empathetic nature, allow him to gain a valuable understanding of the challenges residents experience when planning their next step. Matthew’s passion for those he serves helps him paint a tailored and vivid picture of the endless possibilities when moving to Heartis Yardley. Outside of serving the community, Matthew enjoys winding down by spending time with family, traveling, and playing golf.

Calvin S. Taylor, Jr., CDM, CFPP – Culinary Services Director
With more than 35 years of experience in dining services, Calvin began his food service career as a high school student washing dishes in the same senior care community where he eventually rose to Chef and Dining Services Coordinator. He is passionate and committed to providing an exceptional culinary experience to the people he serves, and this commitment was strengthened by witnessing his beloved mother-in-law transition through every level of senior care. A graduate of The Restaurant School of Philadelphia, Calvin is a culinary trained Chef and a Certified Dietary Manager. He leads by example and strives to inspire his team through positive connections, a supportive culture, and educational opportunities. Calvin loves spending time with his wife Jen and son Trey. In addition to enjoying cooking and watching football, he is a self-taught musician and loves creating and connecting with people through music.

Charles E. Brown, Jr. – Building Services Director
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Charles moved with his family to Philadelphia when he was young. He would later serve the City of Philadelphia as a SEPTA Transit Police Officer for 26 years. “Serve and protect” is part of his DNA. Charles brings 40 years of expertise in general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry to include new construction and rehabilitation projects in senior living and apartment communities. With quality workmanship as his standard, Charles is also quite skillful with technology applications and video surveillance. He’s known to brighten the day of those around him with his smile and engaging personality. Charles has been a public servant, an entrepreneur, and a musician. When he’s not remodeling homes or working with his hands, he’s playing keyboards with his jazz group.
