Suwanee Abdullah Malik, Culinary Services Director

Abdullah Malik, Culinary Services Director

Abdullah is an Army veteran from Cleveland, Ohio. He served as a supply specialist abroad for three years and found a passion for culinary arts upon his return to the United States. He began his culinary career as a prep cook at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital. In the short span of five years, he had advanced to sous chef! He now has over 15 years of experience in the culinary profession.

Abdullah joined Heartis Suwanee in 2019 as a cook, and he was promoted to sous chef a year later. He was then promoted to Culinary Services director, a role in which he is responsible for the dining and culinary services for our Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.

Since arriving at Heartis Suwanee, Abdullah has exhibited great leadership abilities and has developed a dedicated culinary team. Our residents often express how much they appreciate Abdullah and his entire team. One of Abdullah’s favorite practices is to go through the dining room during meals to speak with the residents and learn how they’ve liked their food and presentation.

If you have a special recipe, tell Abdullah … he’ll make you proud!
