Meet the team
Tony Grieco, Executive Director
Tony says he is blessed to be spending his days doing what he loves as Suwannee’s Executive Director. Originally from Delaware, he credits the warmth and love of his extended, multigenerational Italian family with instilling his unique appreciation for older people. Tony attended one of the first Health Administration and Planning programs in the country at the University of New Hampshire. After practicing nursing home administration for 17 years, he transitioned to assisted living in 1998 and moved to Atlanta with his wife and children. He has since served as Executive Director and Regional Director in assisted living, independent living, and memory care communities. Tony admires the commitment to continuous growth found in both our residents and our Suwannee associates. With 35 years in senior living settings, he continues to cherish every day spent with the older adults he truly believes are the “Greatest Generation.”
Ty Bailey, Resident Care Director
Ty began her medical career as a care aid in an Intellectual/Developmental Disability community. While completing an associate degree in psychology, Ty worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant to gain experience and help pay for school. During this work as a CNA, she realized her calling was in nursing. Ty completed her nursing training in 2014 and became an LPN/LVN with a multistate license. She continues her education currently with a specialty in medical studies toward completion of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. With over 20 years of medical experience, Ty has a compassion and care for the well-being of others that drives her as she grows in her career.

Her passion for working with seniors springs from her experience taking care of her grandparents over the years. Jessica’s favorite part of her role is the opportunity to be inspired every day by learning, creating Vibrant Activities, and sharing moments to remember at Heartis Suwanee. She is thankful for her Vibrant Life team and their continued work in programming for the residents. Each day, Jessica feels fulfilled by making someone’s day brighter!
Abdullah Malik, Culinary Services Director
Abdullah is an army veteran from Cleveland, Ohio. He served as a supply specialist abroad for three years and found a passion for culinary arts upon his return to the United States. He began his culinary career as a prep cook at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital. In the short span of five years, he had advanced to Sous Chef! He now has over 15 years of experience in the culinary profession.
Abdullah joined Heartis Suwanee in 2019 as a cook, and he was promoted to Sous Chef a year later. He was then promoted to Culinary Services Director, a role in which he is responsible for the dining and culinary services for our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents.
Since arriving at Heartis Suwanee, Abdullah has exhibited great leadership abilities and has developed a dedicated culinary team. Our residents often express how much they appreciate Abdullah and his entire team. One of Abdullah’s favorite practices is to go through the dining room during meals to speak with the residents and learn how they’ve liked their food and presentation.
If you have a special recipe, tell Abdullah … he’ll make you proud!
