LaMia Johnson

LaMia Johnson, Executive Director

LaMia Johnson is an experienced professional with over 13 years of dedicated service in roles including marketing and business development director and executive director in long-term health care. As a certified dementia practitioner with a passion for senior care and advocacy, LaMia began her career volunteering in long-term care facilities at the age of 13. She is inspired by her mother, who is a registered nurse with over 25 years in long-term care. She enjoys quality time with her 11-year-old son, engaging in arts and crafts activities, and traveling. LaMia holds a master’s degree in health care administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

April Coleman, Business Office Director

April Coleman brings 13 years of health care administration experience to Heartis Bucks County and has worked in independent, assisted and skilled living settings. Her career spans from medical billing and accounts receivable to Medicaid coordination and business office management. April is dedicated to supporting residents and families through the transition of moving from their homes into a senior living community. Her passion for assisting the senior population comes from being raised by her grandparents.

April enjoys Sunday dinners and spending her free time with family.

Michaele Nissley, Director of Sales and Marketing

Michaele Nissley brings over 15 years of assisted living and memory care experience to her role as director of Sales and Marketing at Heartis Bucks County. With a firm belief that life should be enjoyed and cherished at every age, she has dedicated her career to providing guidance and clarity to residents and their families as they navigate the next chapters in their lives. Michaele develops strong, trusting relationships with the families she assists, making a positive impact on their quality of life.

Michaele is a native of Bucks County, where she raised her family. In her free time, Michaele enjoys a good movie and loves spending time with her children and grandchildren. She cherishes her title of “Mimi.”

Matthew Nguyen, Director of Sales and Marketing

With 10 years of health care and senior living experience, Matthew finds it truly rewarding to witness the organic relationships being built with each resident as they, in turn, influence the growth of a tight-knit community. As a result of his resident-centered approach, Matthew thoughtfully connects with prospective residents and their families, values their needs, and offers solutions responsive to those needs. These experiences, coupled with his empathetic nature, allow him to gain a valuable understanding of the challenges residents experience when planning their next step. Matthew’s passion for those he serves helps him paint a tailored and vivid picture of the endless possibilities when moving to Heartis Yardley. Outside of serving the community, Matthew enjoys winding down by spending time with family, traveling and playing golf.

Maria Bongarzone

Maria Bongarzone, Vibrant Life® Director

Maria Bongarzone brought 10 years’ experience to Heartis Bucks County, previously working in the independent living, assisted living and memory care areas. Maria first discovered her passion for the senior living industry while working as a candy striper in high school and continues to follow her path helping residents to experience an active and vibrant life every day.

Maria is a graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University and Millersville University. She has lived in Bucks County for over 35 years with her family and supportive husband, Jeff.

Her life mantra is “A simple smile and a caring heart can go a long way!”

Bucks County Thomas Andrews, Culinary Services Director

Thomas Andrews, Culinary Services Director

Chef Thomas comes to Heartis Bucks County with over 20 years of food industry experience in senior living communities. His passion for cooking began in his grandmother’s humble kitchen. He was raised by a hardworking single mother and spent time learning from his grandmother as she created savory Southern dishes for 16 grandchildren every night. Early on, Thomas loved practicing different cooking techniques and was inspired by food’s ability to tell a story, express cultures and bring people together. In his position as Culinary Services director, Thomas continues his dedication to creating nourishing food and to his family heritage.

Shawn Johnson, Building Services Director

Shawn has 30 years of experience in various positions at assisted living communities. He is dedicated to ensuring all residents are happy, safe and comfortable in their homes. When not working at Heartis Bucks County, he enjoys playing hockey, attending sporting events, and spending time with his wife, son and two Labrador retrievers.
